SouthernNuclearCompany2UESI has been providing numerous diving services for Southern Nuclear Company facilities since 1989. UESI has performed many nuclear service water, plant intake inspections & maintenance, Condensate Storage Tank maintenance & inspection, nuclear ASME Section XI Code nondestructive examinations (IWE inside plant in immersion primary containment systems) and underwater installations of nuclear safety related high strength/high torque bolting. Outside plant diving service work has been performed simultaneously with inside radiologically contaminated, nuclear safety related diving services such as Suppression Pool cleaning, inspections, maintenance, repairs and ECCS strainer replacements. UESI has also installed Tuff Boom security and debris booms on site contracted thru Worthington Products.

February 2014 Feb 2014Working with plant engineers, UESI made critical repairs to the steam dryer during the plant’s refueling outage. The work required certified underwater welding and was conducted in high temperature high dose environment. UESI has been providing numerous diving services for nuclear facilities since 1989. In Water concrete placement/Remote area concrete placement/Anti Washout concrete placement

InWaterConcretePlcementUESI has completed numerous projects involving the placement of concrete underwater requiring use of tremie method, use of anti-washout materials and producing high quality concrete in remote areas not accessible by ready mix trucks. The above photo was taken during placement of 110 yards of anti-washout concrete offshore of Key Largo during a reef restoration project to the Molasses Reef. UESI owns various size and types of concrete and grout mixers as well as various vessels and barges to support a wide range of in-water concrete placement projects.
