Critical Drinking Waterline Repair

UESI crews recently performed a critical water line repair for one of Florida’s densely populated cities.  UESI inspected the subaqueous water main and found an area damaged by a boat anchor that had apparently dragged across the pipe causing breach at a joint.  To repair the line, UESI installed two repair clamps, replaced a 28’ section of pipe, and then placed 65 tons of 57 stone followed by class 50 articulated block concrete matts on 96’ of exposed pipe.  The work was performed in five days the intracoastal waterway in an area subject to high tidal flow rates.
